Do you have an assembly code sample showing this division?

Could you fix the C code to not use a division?  What does the C code
look like now?

I didn't know that, I thought the Rowley compiler was independent.

eForth is a really cool self-hosted implementation that's lots of fun to
read, but it's minimalistic and you might want to use some alternative.
