(void*)0 is not a valid definition for the NULL macro, because it's not
fully protected by parentheses (N1570 7.1.2p5).  ((void*)0) is not a
valid definition *unless* we assume that a parenthesized null pointer
constant is a null pointer constant.

On the other hand, no implementation is going to define the NULL macro
in a way that the implementation itself doesn't treat as a null pointer
constant.
