But were they compiling C at the time? In the past you have
deliberately reported the behaviour of compilers when they are being
asked to compile an unknown language.

Who said anything about one integer type? You said it's type system was
minimal. I'm just pointing out that it isn't. I might be minimal if it
had only the 8 types you say it needs, but has more.
