I’ll quote from the KJV: 22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, 23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. 24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: God made them gay for your sin of idolatry. God made them gay. They practiced idolatry so God made them gay. And you're an idolater. And you're guilty of hubris. And you sinfully pervert the bible. -- https://jtem.tumblr.com/

If I simply invent a paradise with dancing wahines, I have no historical documents, no witnesses, no archaeological support, no fulfilled predictions, and no chain of transmission connecting my claim to real events. Christianity, whether one accepts it or not, is based on claims about people, places, events, and historical figures that can be investigated and debated. The question isn't whether Christians have faith; it's whether that faith is based on evidence or completely detached from evidence. By your standard, we'd also have to say belief in Julius Caesar, Socrates, or countless events in ancient history is just "blind faith" because none of us personally witnessed them. The real question isn't whether faith is involved. The question is whether all faith is equally justified. I don't think they are. -- Tom Mix

Just what unambiguous, unrelated, verifiable and credible evidence supports it aside from a few geographical locations and historical figures? -- Every person in the US is here either legally or illegally. Those that are here illegally should be afraid. Be very afraid. It does not matter how long you have been here. It does not matter why you are here. It does not matter what you have done legally while you were here. It does not matter what any relative may have done while you were here. It only matters that you are here illegally. It may take a day, a week, a year, or longer but we will find you and we will deport you. Be prepared. Deport them all. Due process: Q. Are you here legally? If so, where is the documentation to establish that? All politicians are trained to lie and make those lies sound like the truth. They start with the biggest lie of all: Politicians are public servants. Some of the Republican positions I find disgusting and abhorrent. Most of the Democratic positions I find terrifying. I support: A Constitional Amendment establishing the Freedom of Choice. The elimination of public expression, display or support of religion or religious positions.

I think Mix's discourse looks like it came from the same place as his newsreader. The bible is literature -- some of it doggerel, and some of it rather interesting. For example, take this bit from Luke 17: _ _ _ _ _ _ _ 11 And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee. 12 And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off: 13 And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us. 14 And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed. 15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God, 16 And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan. 17 And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine? 18 There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger. 19 And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole. 20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: 21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Tom: Do you believe this to be true? What does it mean to you? Full disclosure: I refer to the bible on occasion, despite not being "Christian" according to some people. (I used to say that I am a "Theodore Parker Christian", but even that made a certain minister uncomfortable, poor sap. -- Doc Hammerslack ] The unspeakable PeE-Gospel of a million False Prophets is cursed ] to be eternally of utmost concern to the fate of the planet.

Caesar is documented in eyewitness contemporary records. We know when he was born, when he died, and what his last words were. For Jesus, there are no eyewitness records and we don't reliably know any of that. > The real question isn't whether faith is involved. The question is > whether all faith is equally justified. I don't think they are. Agree. Comparing of the 2 JCs is a good example.
