Obviously. I won't make a blanket statement but I don't think SOAP had 
much penetration outside the Windows world and MS supplies tools to take a 
wsdl and create the proxies. You might be able to do it by hand but it 
would be as much fun as doing ONC RPC without rpcgen.

Unfortunately in my world people use Windows probably for the same 
political reasons CERN uses Windows, and that's not because they are 
gamers.
