Those really do seem nicer than ANS, which looks kludgy by comparison. Retroforth also looks clean. But, I think Jonesforth's attraction is partly from explanations all the way to the deepest, lowest level details. And the uninitiated seem to like that it starts from assembly language--I guess the idea of metacompilation comes later. I've heard a few times that there is a version of cmforth annotated by Jay Melvin around somewhere. I'd like to see it. Does anyone know where to find it?
