Oh goody, a chance to vent...

I'm no saint on the road, but I do *try* to drive without being a Ron or a
Hog, but...
Being the driver of a Van (ATM) a white one, I encounter a lot of people
called Ron driving, who seem to have some obsession with...

1) Have to pull out of that junction to get in front of the van.
   Thankfully my van has good brakes, I see them look at the van, I'm
almost on the junction and they still pull out, then proceed at 20 MPH or
less everywhere.

Even more Rons at work...
2) Have to pull out to get in front of that van on a roundabout when I'm
almost on top of them... Wouldn't be so bad if they were prepared to give
the accelerator some wellie, but no, they pull out right in front, causing
me to brake, then they trundle off like a snail.

3) I live in a conurbation that has a higher percentage of old folks than
most places (Bournemouth/Poole) and boy oh boy can that make safe driving
a challenge.

Even more Rons inhabit this state of being...

They come to a road junction/roundabout and neither stop or look, but just
carry on...
That's a frightner.

They trundle along swerving about in the road, they can't see properly,
and everytime something is coming towards them, they brake, every single
time.

I've seen a weak old man in a car, so weedy with age that he could only
move the steering wheel about two inches at a time (Big modern Jag so must
have had power steering).... Gawd help us if he had to do an emergency
stop... Well infact they don't, we quite often get old men/women failing
to stop and going into walls and shop fronts, or sometimes mowing down
Husband/Wife.

Pah!
Vent over... back on the B'mth roads tomorrow as I have a job or two to do
for a 96 going on 97 year old man who still drives, but you won't find me
as a passenger in his car. :-(

My real, real pet motoring hate, is the Ron's who just will not indicate,
ever.

Or as one person put it, and I kid you not... "Eh! Why do I need to
indicate, I know where I'm going."
