Quite. It is also typical of the rubbish that is to be found
all over the UK, in print, on radio or TV, when it comes to
the EU.

The Euro-nutter-sceptics of the Tory party and UKIP could
tell us tomorrow that the EU was minded to ban the keeping
of dogs in the home and some 50% or more of the population
would believe them.

Within a week all the papers that believ that Europe is a
continent of which we are not geographically part would have
published.
