Science and religion are not the same thing.

This is why scientists could be true believers and believe in stuff, 
which clearly violates their own scientific discoveries.

To make religious believes 'scientific' is in contrast not possible, 
because science is based on the scientific method and not on holy scripts.

That is actually ok, since it allows cooperation of scientists around 
the globe, over all borders and believe systems.
