First time I used usenet was Netscape 3 on Windows 3.1 in 1995.  Then Netscape 4.  Then Forte Agent in a couple of versions.  Then Opera.

Same here.  I dread to think how people read usenet if they can't see who's replying to them.  They must miss half their replies.

It's maybe linked to the OS font size, but I guess you don't want to change it for everything.

I wouldn't want everything I click on to be marked as read.  Just clicking it doesn't mean I've actually read it.  It could be a long reply I don't have time to look at just now.
