Maybe. Given Apple's obsession with making everything wireless, though, 
maybe not, as the TouchBar is probably a considerable rechargable 
battery hog.

It's also questionable how well it would work in an external keyboard 
anyway -- on a laptop it's virtually an extension of the screen so 
there's not much change of focus required to shift your gaze between 
them. The distance between keyboard and screen on a desktop machine is 
both greater and more variable.
