But that’s essentially meaningless unless you put some bounds on what is “current”. I mean, if you last edited the calendar a week ago, do you really *need* a persistent server connection with real-time updates of calendar changes? You do probably have to go with CalDAV to support push updates like that; any other form of syncing is going to have the subscription poll with some delay (5 minutes minimum on the current Calendar app).
