I'm afraid that you have mistaken me for someone who knows why the
computer industry is the way it is. The only thing that I know is that
I've got six late-model Macs in my house, all running the latest
version of the MacOS and the latest versions of the software that is
important to me, and it all works satisfactorily.

It's likely that I'm just an easy-going guy who goes with the flow and
when something new comes along and I don't entirely like it I get used
to it and get on with my life.
