Only tax people the minimum, and cut public expenditure down to the things almost every body accepts need to be state funded and controlled, and then let people vote with their credit cards. i.e state control is a mark of failure, not success. No one in authority really knows the reality of life in e.g. a Brazilian favela, or the African bush. And they have no moral compass to impose upon it. I learnt that watching S Africa post apartheid. The Librals *imposed* voting rights, but what the townships actually wanted was electricity, sewing machines, clean water, a refrigerator, access to medical practitioners, more football and a TV to watch it on, and education.
