I remember telling my fellow nerd buddy at church, in the year 2000, about my mom and I's then-new computer, and he's looking almost like he isn't listening but then I mention that it runs Windows 2000, and suddenly he's intrigued - because he had an NT4 computer, himself. We had had discussions about how terrible he thought Win98 was. But in any event, the release of the Windows 2000 OS was a milestone in computing, generally. -- Joel Crump
