Your customer is not part of this process so why mention him? You whine about people disagreeing with you then you come out with this old bollocks. There's no need for it, it was just a passing comment yet you seem to feel it needs a dose of your usual vitriol and criticism. It was a perfectly valid point in the context of a discussion on code style. Enlightened customers may insist on a certain standard, less enlightened ones may not and only care about getting the software so that they may use it to enhance their business.
