Yeah I've been looking at that stuff. It sounds like Chuck is having
fun. He is finding ways to solve with one "universal" device, various
1980's-ish design problems that would have taken bags full of
specialized chips in that era. Unfortunately as devices have gotten
more powerful, the challenges facing them have gotten bigger as well.
So it still seems to take specialized hardware to solve the problems of
the present day.
