I didn't mean to say that the executable is "located" as in FindExecutable()
and such, but meant the folder where the EXE is loaded from. The current
directory can be anything. In Windows 95+, it doesn't matter what the
current directory is, the folder where the EXE was loaded from is searched
first. See item #1 in the search order here:

Dynamic-Link Library Search Order:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/ms682586%28v=vs.85%29.aspx

It's easy to skip it while speed reading. I have missed it few times myself.
MS even added more exceptions in recent versions of Windows that I wasn't
aware of. To add to the confusion, when running in the IDE, and depending on
how one setup the IDE shortcut, loading libraries fail if it's in the
project folder unless the shortcut working directory was set to the project
folder, or the line "ChDir App.Path" is used, which sets VB6.EXE current
directory to the project folder, so it's in the search path. The EXE in this
case is VB6.EXE and the folder where the EXE was loaded from is the "VB98"
folder. This makes it seems that the project folder is not searched, which
is true unless one takes steps to make it the current folder.
