The terminology you are using (64-bit OS, 64-bit only software) is a "Pure 64" or "True 64" environment. I think even the processor can be thrown into some mode like that, such that 32-bit instructions are removed entirely. I've not heard Windows advancing to that state. There might be one Linux that is like that, but Linux has multilib support, which might share some characteristics with SYSWOW. You might check your multilib support on Linux, when expecting wine64 and wine32 to work. Some distros don't seem to have that turned on, and then when you're doing your WINE install, it's one additional thing to check or worry about. Paul
