I have the V600 installed on a Windows 7, a Windows 10, and this Windows 11 machine. I've never experienced this fault before. I append below the procedure that nearly always > works for me, but, in your case, I suspect that: > > :-( One of the services used has been disabled. But, when I clicked on Properties, it allowed me to do a Restart. Epson Scanner Service Status was "Running", Startup Type was "Automatic", and Log on As was "Local Service". When I clicked on Properties, it would not allow a Restart. Guess I could have Stopped and Started since I was already in the Services panel, but I wanted to see if WIA was the issue. Well, just Restarting WIA didn't solve things, so I Stopped Epson Scanner Service, and Started it. It's been about eight hours since Restarting and Starting both services, and this Windows 11 machine has 'slept', 'restarted', and 'cold booted', and I've turned the V600 scanner off and on at different times. Both the button on the scanner itself and the desktop scanner icon start the scanning process every time. Luckily, (so far) it hasn't been more complicated of a fix. Thanks for the ideas. > > :-( More worryingly, note the ... > 'wiawow64.exe - Thunking WIA APIS from 32 to 64 Process > ... in the procedure appended.
