All hail mighty google, just renumber all the houses so they match what
Google says, you can't fight them (-: ...

Seriously, it looks like you are moderately lucky - in most cases where
things go to the wrong house, I think the error would be reciprocal (if
no. 200 is getting no. 35's mail, then no. 35 should be getting no.
200's, so the two of you could get to know each other. And possibly but
a prominent sign in the window saying "this is not number XX".

I'm puzzled: do US houses not generally have a prominent number on the
door/wall/gate/whatever, or, if they do, do US carriers not pay any
attention to them? There's a round 5 or 6 inch diameter plaque on the
front of mine with the number in it (some floral decoration around it
which I wouldn't have chosen [it was there when I bought] but don't
mind, but the number is clear and IMO unmissable).

Have you ever heard about a petition, disagreed with it, but been frustrated
that there's no way you can *show* that you disagree? If so, have a look at
https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/232770 - and please pass it on if you
agree, especially to twitter, facebook, gransnet/mumsnet, or any such forum.

Why doesn't DOS ever say "EXCELLENT command or filename!"
