Ich hab jetzt mal das Buch "Rethink" von Steven Poole gekauft, das den
Anlaß des Artikels im Guardian darstellt. Bisher ist es aber leider
schwach,der Autor schwafelt noch.

Was mir an dem Simulationsgedanken gefällt: auf einmal, und auf
wissenschaftlich gut nachvollziehbarer Basis, wird den ganzen vermeintlich
wissenschaftlich fundierten Religionskritikern plötzlich die Basis
entzogen. Alle Versprechen der Religionen könnten plötzlich auf rationale
Weise auch erfüllte Realität sein und werden. Je nach Gusto des
Versuchsleiters der Simulation.

Elon Musk hat recht: vor 49 Jahren war "Pong" das beste Spiel, 2 bewegliche
Rechtecke.  Jetzt schaue man sich ein heutiges VR Spiel an. Der Zuwachs an
Realismus bis zur Fotorealität ist enorm.
Zu glauben, das ginge nun nicht weiter, ist lächerlich.

Die Chance oder das Risiko in einer Simulation zu leben/existieren, ist
hoch.
