And the version being discussed here is the one that really matters: `splice` that takes a pair of iterators into another list. So, no, it is not given a list, it is given a range of iterators. It doesn't know how many list elements are linked inside that range. It doesn't know how much to "add to its own size". That's what's being discussed here. -- Best regards, Andrey
