The digital music being sold is better than your ears are physically
capable of distinguishing from CD Quality.

No, it does not, and there are hundreds (at least) of studies proving
it. People who claim they can hear a difference cannot, in fact, hear a
difference.

"High bitrate audio" is a confirmation bias lie.
