During the course of a given year, I will organize my photos into albums with a description (Thanksgiving 2014 for example). All of the albums will then reside in a folder titled with the year that they were taken (2014 for example). Probably not the most elegant system but it works for me. At the end of the year I will then burn the photos for that year to a CD or DVD and archive that away. I just copied one of my albums to the desktop so I can burn it. What I've noticed is that all of the photos are now labeled "Unadjustednonraw_thumb_1a9d.jpeg", etc. The info of the original photo is gone (date and time pic was taken) and just the info on when the photo was transferred from my camera to Photos. Clicking on the photo in Photos has all of the info so between copying and pasting the info was "left behind". I do periodically backup my HD via CCC to an external drive but I would like to delete the photos from my HD after I've burned them to a CD/DVD to free up some space knowing that I have backup copies on a much larger external drive as well as the optical disks. What am I doing wrong, if anything? Is there a better way to burn the photos to a CD/DVD and retain all of the original info? MacBook Air running 10.12.6. -- Deja Moo: I've seen this bullshit before.
