Again there is no pairing involved, just pinging.

You know I've seen your posts on usenet for decades now and I have to say that social media and 
associated 'echo chambers' have sure done a number on you! (I could be wrong, it may be dementia...)

I've been saying for years now that social media could well bring about the downfall of society. 
Sadly you've reinforced my belief. You used to be measured and sensible, a trustworthy voice in 
tech groups.
