positioning, they do not know the phone number or IMEI of who you've 
been near, they *only* know random ids of which devices you've been near 
enough to see via bluetooth, and for how long, and what signal strength

no, because none of this data is transmitted live, it can go over wifi 
once you get home, then it downloads a list of ids for phones of people 
known to be infected, matches any ids and lets you know, and optionally 
lets you report that back to a local health authority.

the only identifier used by the app is a set of random numbers that 
change every few minutes, nothing to actually identify the phone, the 
person, where they were, where they live ...

If it has bluetooth and wifi (what smartphone doesn't?) that's all you need.
