Interesting idea. All you'd need to do is feed sheets of card stock through the scanner bed at about 1000 sheets per minute and move the scanner light back and forth 17 times per second. Nah, I guess the moving sheet would allow the light to stay stationary. So, I guess with the right feeder you could convert your scanner to a 2501. I like this comment on Wikipedia about the 2501: The 2501 is no longer sold, but is supported by software of current IBM systems. -- Dan Espen
