You're absolutely right... And of course I mean AHCI! - The mistake came 
since I'm right now fiddling with making some USB devices that can be 
connected and run directly on my Canon EOS RP and Pentax K-3 cameras, so 
I can copy directly to such an USB disc instead of having to buy a Canon 
storage device for the RP. Pentax doesn't make such external devices...

So just replace the "O" with an "A".:-)

As written I'm abut to upgrade my old MBP 2007/08 and have found the 1tb 
TravelStar to replace the std. 100gb HD in that oldie. It was here the 
HGST tech info said that the TravelStar wouldn't run in these old MBPs, 
unlesss the MBP is AHCI 1,8 or higher compatible and that this specific 
disk is only meant for older ThinkPads 2008-2010. - Instead I've chosen 
to buy a 5400rpm WD 1tb/128mb cache.
