It is probably doable (see iFixit guides) but it's likely a world of pain - I think they glue them together now. It'll also be pretty obvious that you've opened it up, which might give warranty issues. I wouldn't usually shy away from this type of thing, but I did pay Apple's mad price for an SSD when I bought my new iMac in 2014. One of my criticisms of Apple's 'form over function' way of doing things. -- Cheers, Rob
