You can't do anything in 1-2K. The first online system I wrote handled screen input in a 2K transient area. A couple of the screens were a challenge to fit in 2K. (Assembler.) Nope, very little attempt at IBM to have any compatibility between DOS and OS. DOS and OS both shipped as source code. No one was able to get the size much smaller. -- Dan Espen
