It's worse in a crowded business district where putting up large
legible-from-50-feet street numbers is apparently regarded as gauche.
It's a real bitch to drive safely, avoiding moving cars, pedestrians,
parked cars, cars suddenly stopping etc. while searching for the name
and/or number of the business you're looking for. And even WORSE when
you're in the Chinese shopping district!
