We're talking many new Android TABLET models not coming out every year
like they used to. I think that everyone agrees that there are many new
Android phone models coming out every year.

Using my local Best Buy as an example again, while the Android tablets
take up 2 three foot wide shelves in the back of the store, the Android
phones take up a whole front section with several demo tables.

My Chromebook came with the OS loaded. But when first fired up it up it
updated to the newest version...just like supported tablets.

(Unfortunately the only supported tablets still being updated in my
house run the Fire OS and iOs. None of my Android OS tablets are being
updated. They still work fine though.)

My Chromebook runs normally when offline, but like an Android tablet
there's just not much to do with it...the way I use it anyway, YMMV.

Loved those old Palm Pilots. I had several over the years. It was nice
to get 20 hours use out of a pair of AAAs. Read a lot of ebooks on the
Peanut Reader too. Good old days...

Like Usenet? It's a royal pain to type on a tablet so it's laptop time.

Me too. And all my devices are synced so I can leave off on one and pick
up on the next, or enter data on one and all update. No matter the OS.
Very handy.
