There is just one equipotential surface at 1 meter radius. but now many 
"field lines" are flowing outward from the ball? And what exactly do 
field lines represent physically? The field? Certainly not. A flow of 
something? What is flowing in an electric field? It's a concept going 
nowhere. once again Faraday just got off the track.
