I would rather call it an unjustified,  highly speculative
 conspiracy hypothesis, ignoring the context of all his sciebtific
 carrier and work of other scientists since then, including
 evaluation of his work.

BTW, the question is if his doctorate  and PhD are the same thing,
 as  scientific degrees are variable across countries and time.
 E.g. I have the doctorate, but not PhD.

He studied polytechnic for cca 3 years before the war, as he was
 born in 1894 and started when he was 17.
That low age says something.

The doctorate thesis from 1920 was "Approximation of functions of
 several real variables",
so nothing directly connected to astrophysics.
