The nymshifting troll, trolling as Otto Wahl <tlow@wtiwor.oc> trolls: >Paul B. Andersen wrote: >>> There is no need to challenge Koobee Wublee. Koobee Wublee is just an exorcist attempting to demystify the Einstein dingleberries. Perhaps, when the Einstein dingleberries are demystified, Koobee Wublee shall present the true laws of nature instead of these manmade laws of physics. <shrug> >> >> Frustrating not to be able to calculate "the same thing" as I can? >> >> I can even calculate it for a number of different satellites. >> >> satellite | altitude | gravit. t.d.| kinetic t.d. | total t.d >> -------------------------------------------------------------------- >> ISS 410 km 3.6 µs/day -28.1 µs/day -24.5 µs/day >> ZERO 3175 km 20.0 µs/day -20.0 µs/day 0.0 µs/day >> GLONASS 19146 km 45.1 µs/day -7.4 µs/day 37.7 µs/day >> GPS 20200 km 45.6 µs/day -7.1 µs/day 38.5 µs/day >> Galileo 23630 km 47.3 µs/day -6.3 µs/day 41.0 µs/day >> Geostationary 35800 km 51.0 µs/day -4.4 µs/day 46.6 µs/day >> Moon orbit 378035 km 59.1 µs/day -0.4 µs/day 58.7 µs/day >> >> Can you? >> No? >> Thought so! :-D >You can't have a total time dilation as negative, my friend. You most certainly can, nymshifter. Didn't you learn SR and time dilation? That's what the "kinetic t.d." column is in Paul's chart. Also if it were possible for a satellite to orbit the earth underground, the gravitational time dilation would also be negative. And the total is, well, the total. Is that too complicated for stupid nymshifters? > Or, as I >can see, you are taking the relative to earth, reference 0 (zero), >mark on the needle scale. Since those are ORBITS, ground level would not be 0. The gravitational t.d. would be 0 for a theoretical satellite orbiting at ground level, but the kinetic portion would be quite large, maybe -30 uS/day. Of course such a satellite wouldn't orbit for very long before striking a mountain, HARD. > How about taking the zero time dilation as >the absolute zero time dilation, what numbers would be those. What are you babbling about now? >Dr. Koobee is pretty much consistent. Yeah, consistently wrong.
