If building a program in a particular language can be reduced down to building from C, then C compilers are available just about everywhere. (Last time I looked at Seed7, the main part was created in C, and could be supplied as a ready-to-go binary. Then striving to make such a program portable was a waste of time, if you get stuck at trying to run thousands of lines of 'bash' script. -- bartc
