There were many instances in the past, where AV software actually introduced an attack vector. Use google. Also, AV software claiming to secure internet connections usually does break the encryption (otherwise it wouldn't be able to look into them), making it easy for other bad guys to jump on the bandwagon. >> - Android devices are designed to steal personal data. > > Really? If you didn't notice it yet: Google is an advertising company, and the whole reason they provide Android for free is to feed their database with tracking and behavioral data. Do you consider yourself to be too inexperienced to recognize sudden, strange behavior of your device? If yes, AV software may help you to feel better. Just don't expect it to protect you. ^_-
