Similarly, while Diane Duane's Young Wizards series has a Secret World
of Magic that kids have to study about, there's no formal wizarding
schools they learn it at; they find the So You Want To Be A Wizard book
and if they pass its basic testing they become wizards and get to learn
more magic.
