It sounds like you use Linux. That would explain why you think anyone 
else complaining about being forced to use it (effectively, at 
gun-point) is whining about nothing.

Obviously, for you, everything works! What's the problem?!

It's funny how in a newsgroup where the emphasis is on writing portable 
code, that there are these massive dependencies on ONE specific OS, and 
no one thinks there is anything wrong with that. Not even with 
applications that are inherently portable such as GMP.

Or, where we're supposed to be discussing the C language, that an 
application purportedly in C cannot actually be compiled without making 
use of thousands of lines of code in completely unrelated languages. 
Sometimes, more lines of code than there are in C!

As I've observed a few times, some of the attitudes in this group are 
extraordinary.
