Probably. When we changed from ADSL to Fibre. And I did not switch at 
the start.

With ADSL I had the so to speak "modem" upstairs, by the computer. With 
fibre, the company put the router close to the TV downstairs and I was 
forced to put a cable to upstairs. The wifi signal was weak upstairs, 
and and at that time WiFi was about 20, maybe 40 mbits. And then I 
installed a switch upstairs, and an wifi AP.
