Yeah, the only way to turn off my Roku is to unplug it.  The only
 way to really shut down an ipad is to hold its head under water
 in the bath ... :)  Kidding, but yeah.  Remember when putting a
 Linux laptop to sleep was an exercise in sadism?  It was always a
 gamble if your machine would come back to life, freeze halfway,
 wake up retarded, or worse.
