I have long ago written to the Centos.org sysadmins, and they confirm
there is nothing wrong with my IP address or login account.

(The login works fine and no, there's no reason for them to have
blackballed me.)

If it were *that* simple, I wouldn't be asking for networking
advice here ... :)

This is not a simple one.
