If a spaceship approaches the solar system with c/2, the staff on board 
that ship would encounter massive blue-shift due to the Doppler effect.

The people on that ship had real difficulty to measure events on Earth, 
because they would needs means to compensate their own velocity towards 
Earth.

At first they would eliminate the Doppler effect and shift frequencies down.

But also the temporal relations should be adjusted, because the limited 
speed of light would distort the measured time between events.
