If Maxwell's equations are interpreted as meaning that the waves have 
velocity c relative to some medium, the Aether, then the null results 
from the Michelson Morley experiment is certainly not what would be 
expected.

We now understand that the covariant nature of Maxwell's equations 
predict the null result, but that's with the benefit if the hindsight 
provided by special relativity.

If your position has any merit, you should be able to justify it without 
making claims about what various people, long dead, said.
