I do not disagree, but there is some difference between open and active
bigotry (for example what we see in Slimer) and those who just "go along
for the ride" because they cannot see where it hurts THEM. I am *NOT*
defending those people... but I think it is important to note not all
are running around doing as Slimer and Carroll do.

Carroll speaks of having trouble putting food on the table but spending
OTHER people's money on a symbolic gesture that makes him feel good but
has little if any measurable actual benefit is fine by him.
