Of course it does. When the OS loads 32-bit libraries into memory, it
uses more CPU resources as well as using more RAM resources which
degrades performance of the entire system since CPU and RAM are finite
resources.

It affects system performance, whether you want to believe it or not.
Apple says it does. So do software developers. Disagree all you want;
but that's reality.
