Growth of the Earth would be difficult to measure, since it would effect 
the base of measurement, too.

Actually the real distance, that is changing, that cannot be measured: 
the radius of the Earth' surface.

You could eventually measure the circumference directly. But that is 
extremely difficult, since the Earth is so large.

But it is possible to look for evidence in the geological remains, like 
fossils or landscapes.

This could be interpreted under the assumption, that Earth would grow 
and whether (or not) this would fit to 'Growing Earth'.

And to the best of my knowledge the findings fit very well to GE, while 
plate tectonics doesn't seem to work at all.
