I don’t use the gmail web mail much at all tho, normally use a just one email client on the PC and their app on the phone and tablet. I do use google very extensively indeed for both my primary search engine and google maps, and don’t get any ads at all from them in either of those. The main place I do see ads which are clearly the result of some recent google activity is in facebook. Not very intrusive at all.
