And for almost anything they might want to use like Outlook on the PC or Mac 
etc too.

Yeah, that is better done on andriod than iOS IMO.

iOS is even easier to do it with because the email app can
do it by itself, but it isn't all that obvious that that is what
should be used until you research that using google.

There should be an Import function in iOS as well IMO, just
because that is the obvious place to look for that function.

Yes, because that is the usual way to get stuff into or out of your iphone.

The main downside with that is that it assumes they all have email 
addresses.

If you do it the other way, put it in your dropbox, you can
just post the dropbox url of the vcard file in the instructions
and they can just access that any way they like even if they
don’t have an email address, even in printed instructions.

Everyone with an iOS device does have email capability,
but they may not have setup an email account and so
can't receive your instructions initially as easily.
